We do not believe God left us when Jesus ascended into heaven.  God is still present in the "person" of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came not to individuals but to the Church.  Because of this, we believe that the Holy Spirit is most present in the gathered Church of God.  This is why we come together on Sundays to take part in the Eucharist and be the Body of Christ. It is the Holy Spirit that binds each of us to Christ in our baptism and binds the Church together into the body of Christ in the world.
