St. Hubert E. C. W.
St. Hubert has a very
active Episcopal Church Women ministry. Our money-making projects are
used to support a variety of charities and promote social interaction
among our membership.
Our spring yard sale
earnings in 2008 were designated to be donated to Resurrection Church in
Louisville for their Sudanese student project of a van purchase. This
project at Resurrection was headed up by Jacob Manyok a Berea College
student from Sudan. Jacob’s home church has been St. Hubert during his
stay in Berea.
E. C. W. has a paper shower for St. Agnes House each year as well as
making monetary donations to the Hospices of Clark, Madison and Fayette
counties. Our Calamity Jane fund is used for special needs of
parishioners or neighbors of St. Hubert. Virginia Place is a residence
for students who are single parents and our E. C. W. participates
with other area churches in furnishing Thanksgiving baskets for those
families. E. C. W. also leads the congregation in the Spring and Fall
United Thank Offering each year.
In many of our projects St. Hubert whole congregation is involved
which creates a loving camaraderie of our parish.
