A thoughtful, concerned group of Prestonsburg women donated their time and talents in an effort to make "life more pleasant" for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Highlands Cancer Center. Phyllis Hornbaker and Carol Gibson presented a basket of 33 hats to Kathy Allen, Highlands Medical Center director of volunteer services. Prestonsburg women meeting at St. James Episcopal Church, donating their time and talents included Phyllis Hornbaker, Carol Gibson, Bonnie Spencer, Nivia Bruner, Erin Droege, Erica Ash, Rita Collins, Emma Pelphrey and Maxine Crider.
