Our Mission Statement Witnessing Christ's love to a hungering world. Explanation: St. Mary's is located in one of the poorest counties in the United States. Of the 3,140 U.S. counties, Bell County, Kentucky, ranks 21st from the bottom in lowest average household income and 49th from the bottom in lowest high school/GED completion rate (Source: Census 2000 at www.dataplace.org). It is our mission to witness Christ's love and healing to our community. We do this with our own resources of time, talent and treasure and also by seeking out and marshalling resources in the larger church through donations, grants and inbound mission groups.
