Worship
is central to the faith community of St. Raphael’s Episcopal Church.
Parishioners and guests enjoy three weekly opportunities to gather and
participate in Holy Eucharist. On Sundays, we offer an 8:30 a.m.
contemplative Rite I service and a 10:30 a.m. Rite II family service
with music. On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. we offer an intimate Rite
II celebration. The first Sunday of each month is designated as
Healing Sunday at St. Raphael’s when lay members of the Healing Team
offer congregants prayers for God’s healing. Schedules and
Rite usage vary with church calendar seasons. Lay
participation in worship starts long before the actual services begin.
The church is reverently prepared for services by our Altar Guild.
Fresh floral arrangements are created for the altar by our Flower Guild.
Cross-generational teams of laity serve as Ushers, Choir, Chalice
Bearers, Lectors and Acolytes. There is a prevailing atmosphere of warmth and inclusiveness at St. Raphael’s. Worshipers are encouraged to express their personal piety in ways and at levels of participation that are individually and communally enriching. |
